VMAX Marine was engaged in operational execution and salvage consultancy services by MARINE EMERGENCY RESPONSE CENTER (MERC), in collaboration with SMIT Salvage BV, under the LOF contract form for the MV Aviator, which was involved in a collision with the tanker MT. Atlantic Grace, off Okha, Gujarat India. Both casualties were conjoined and were drifting in high tidal current conditions. Both casualties were separated successfully. A 32-ton temporary steel patch was fabricated and installed for dewatering purposes on the MV Aviator.
